Reinventing Orchid Orthopedics
A worldwide leader in contract design and manufacturing of implants and instruments for the orthopedic, dental and cardiovascular markets, Orchid is made up of ten contract manufacturing divisions that, in combination, have been serving the orthopedic community for more than 75 years. In need of an image update, our goal was to create a unique brand with a strong visual identity that emphasized the company's five areas of capability - and then carry that brand across a whole host of projects.
Here's What We Did:

Updated the existing Orchid corporate and division logos.

Established a market positioning statement – "Speed. Value. Innovation."

Rewrote and redesigned their web site, integrating their new brand look into a robust corporate site that also incorporated the ten division sites. (Click here to browse the site.)

Extended the brand to trade show graphics, a corporate video, a pocket-sized division brochure, and an 8-page corporate brochure. (Click on each item to see a larger view.)

Concepted, wrote and designed a MAD-magazine-inspired "foldable" ad campaign that drew attention to the company's unique capability in lean manufacturing. (Click on each ad to watch how it folds.)

Issued an in-depth identity manual for the new brand standard.
Results
The company's growth has accelerated well into the double-digits, based in part on their unified image and heightened profile. And we've got another satisfied customer!
